The Role

What you will own.

You will help build the independent controls that make autonomy trustworthy — the immune system of the organism. Where other teams build capability, you build the limits, audits and veto paths that capability must pass through. It is an adversarial, failure-first role: your job is to imagine how the system could go wrong and make sure it cannot, or that someone knows the instant it does.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype limits, checks and veto paths the system cannot bypass.
  • Build real-time risk telemetry, dashboards and anomaly detection.
  • Stress-test the organism against hostile and tail scenarios.
  • Design audit trails so every action is explainable after the fact.
  • Turn 'what could go wrong?' into concrete, tested safeguards.

Qualifications

  • Interest in risk, controls, reliability or safety-critical systems.
  • Solid engineering fundamentals and quantitative comfort.
  • Adversarial, failure-first thinking.
  • Ability to reason about tail events and correlations.
  • Clear, precise communication.

Nice to have

  • Curiosity about markets or trading systems.
  • Exposure to formal methods, testing or fault injection.
  • Familiarity with the statistics of extremes.
